Step Up is a year-round campaign
The Evening Standard has a rich history of championing the ideas and concerns of young Londoners.
As Step Up's Editor, Julie Henry, reports work experiences are being curtailed, children’s stress levels are soaring over exams, non-stop social pressures and cost of living worries. Parents are confused about the new qualifications at 16+, and many teenagers now wonder whether university is the right choice.
Young Londoners and their parents face a myriad of choices:
- Education: GCSE choices; understanding 16+ qualifications - T-level / A-level / BTec / IB; university - whether to live at home or move away.
- Work: apprenticeships / early careers / blended work and study / part time work.
- Life choices: technology, finances, physical / mental health, identity / relationships.
This is why the Evening Standard and Next Step Education have partnered to create Step Up Expo - a new multi-platform initiative to inspire young Londoners to think about their futures and help teenagers and their parents to navigate the complex and changing education and careers landscape.
Why partner with STEP UP?
- Recruit: Teenagers engaging with Step Up are actively planning their next steps. They are looking for education, work and apprenticeship opportunities. They want rewarding careers, work experience, internships, outreach programmes and summer schools.
- Diversify: The Step Up audience is the UK’s most diverse group of teenagers. The Expo will help your organisation expand its reach and engagement with talent from all backgrounds.
- Support: Equip the Step Up attendees and readers with the inspiration and skills they need to thrive in todays dynamic and challenging world.
All this and more can be achieved through the live event, our wide reaching promotional campaign and our extensive coverage.
