How to get tickets

Pre-Register to be at the front of the queue for group tickets
Step Up Expo is now taking group reservations for 2025. Pre-registered schools will be at the front of the queue, able to finalise tickets before they are released in February 2025.*
Pre-Register now to reserve a slot for your school group. It's very easy - at this stage you just fill in a short form estimating numbers, and telling us a little about who you would like to bring.
Our Schools Co-ordinator will be in touch in late January to confirm your priority booking and collect student and staff details for tickets.
PLEASE NOTE*
- Demand for tickets is very high and pre-registering does not guarantee a place.
- Read on to find out more about which students to bring.
Group tickets are FREE.
Who to Bring to Step Up Expo
Step Up has a particular mission to help disadvantaged teenagers. Please read on to find out who to bring.
Year 12s
About 75% of school group visitors are Year 12s. Students use the Expo to discuss 18+ choices with universities, employers and training providers. Register for open days, make shortlists, plan backup options, get a grip on application processes and timelines. They will meet admissions and recruitment teams, and be inspired by current students, apprentices and young graduate entrants.
To help us resource the Expo, we ask schools and colleges to give us student numbers for each of the following four pathways:
- Year 12s classified as disadvantaged, applying to high tariff courses at university (medicine, law, Oxbridge, Russell Group). All these students will be able to access talks and workshops in the Step Up Widening Participation zone.
- Year 12s considering university.
- Year 12s exploring other options - Apprenticeships, Full/Part-time work and Further Education choices. All these students will be given talks and supported by Apprentice ambassadors.
- Creative arts students - FORMA, the art & design education fair, will be at Step Up Expo providing specialist advice on applying to creative arts universities and colleges.

Year 10s
About 25% of school group visitors are Year 10s.
We encourage schools to bring two specific Year 10 groups:
- Year 10s classified as disadvantaged, considering high tariff courses at university (medicine, law, Oxbridge, Russell Group). All these students will be able to access talks and workshops in the Step Up Widening Participation zone.
- Year 10 students unlikely to study for A-levels and exploring other options - apprenticeships, full/part-time work and Further Education choices.
Please note places for Year 10s are now very limited.

SEND students
NEW quiet time slot for SEND students
New for 2024, we have introduced a quiet time slot from 1330-1600 for students with SEND needs, and their teachers and parents.
- The afternoon programme is being tailored to inspire SEND students and parents.
- Numbers are tightly capped to maximise accessibility.
